“Tap into meaning to connect with your vast inner life.”

Meisner said, ‘acting is not emoting,’ but it is an emotional art form. So how do we deepen our emotional life without becoming self-conscious actors? And how do we meet the emotional demands of a script without faking anything? In Level 3: Emotional Preparation, you’ll understand what it’s like to purposefully work yourself up emotionally to prepare for the first moment of a high stakes scene. While we can’t control our emotions, Level 3 gives you tools to discover truthful, authentic emotion and understand how to consistently tap into feelings across the emotional spectrum in performance. These explorations include a guided series of exercises specifically designed to deepen and set your emotional life free in your work.

In the last two sessions of Level 3: Emotional Preparation, you’ll then experiment with what it’s like to bring your new emotional preparation skills to scene work.

Level 1: Living Truthfully and Level 2: Under Imaginary Circumstances are required prerequisites for all students.

Cancellation and Attendance

Student Cancellation
If a student is withdrawing from class more than 7 days prior to start date, the amount of the tuition paid including a $108 non-refundable deposit will be kept on credit at the studio for a year, to be used on a future class.

Alternatively, students who withdraw more than 7 days prior to the start date can keep $108 non-refundable deposit on file to be applied to a future class and any other payments made will be refunded to the original payment method.

If you drop the class ON THE DAY OF THE FIRST CLASS OR AFTER, the full tuition is non-refundable, non-transferrable, and may not be kept on file for a future class.

We appreciate you respecting this policy for the best experience for our instructors and students!

Please reach out at 773-217-9565 if you have any questions.

Studio Cancellation
Occasionally we’ll have to cancel a call due to low enrollment. We’re sorry if that happens to you! If we have to cancel a class you’ve signed up for, we will give you at least 48 hours notice and promptly start your refund process.

In the event that class is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to extreme weather and pandemic related shutdowns), make-up classes will be scheduled as soon as it’s safe for our students and instructors to be together safely at the studio. In some cases classes may transfer to an online platform. If a student is unable to attend the rescheduled class due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to extreme weather and pandemic related shutdowns) that student will receive credit on their account for the value of missed classes.

Attendance Policy
In order to get the most out of your work with us, our students should make showing up to every class on time a priority.

We understand that things do come up so if you know you’re going to miss a class, please give your instructor as advance notice as possible. This will help them get you caught up and not throw off the rest of the group. Scheduling a make-up class is possible but not guaranteed.

Students enrolled in our Meisner Acting Program can only advance to the next level if they’ve attended at least 6 of their 8 sessions. If a student misses more than 2 sessions, they will need to retake the level in order to advance in the program.
