Description
In this 9 week course, students will explore three contemporary American plays from three different authors of varying styles, voices, and genres. In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of working on a scene, through reading, rehearsing, and performance. We will explore together the deeper meanings of these plays and recognize the specific given circumstances of each scene. We will also learn how to implement strategic, systematic acting processes to find the emotional truth in the scenes. While this course is beginner friendly, full attendance and outside the classroom work are expected.
